Audience Member Nice doc about musicians really "making" music in Kinshasa. Featuring Jupiter and Okwessa International. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Awesome! I hope that I can see a tiny fraction of this kind of music when I go to Kinshasa in two weeks! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Documentary about Congolese musicians making their own music, and in some cases, their own instruments too, in once-named Kinsala The Beautiful, now named Kinsala The Dump. It primarily focuses on Jupiter Bokondji , articulate leader of Okwess International, but you also get plenty of background of the sprawling city he lives in, and clips from many other local musicans including Staff Benda Bilili, a disabled band who live at the local zoo and move around in customized tricycles. "Always repressed, never depressed". Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
