What to Know

Critics Consensus

Going back to basics with rip-roaring set pieces and fossilized clichés, Jurassic World Rebirth doesn't evolve this prehistoric franchise but does restore some of its most reliable DNA.

Audience Says

Equal parts comforting and terrifying, returning to the beloved Jurassic World is a thrill, and while predictable, Rebirth jump-starts the franchise with a dino-mite time at the movies.

Kat Sachs Chicago Reader Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali have good chemistry. Jul 17, 2025 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) Gareth Edwards proves himself very capable, and he gets the very best of what is honestly a chunky script. Jul 12, 2025 Full Review Odie Henderson Boston Globe The film is so disinterested that it simply throws them onscreen with occasional bits of human beings stuck between their teeth. Rather than chew on disposable characters, those dinosaurs should have eaten their agents instead. Rated: 2/4 Jul 8, 2025 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness ... as simple as meat and potatoes, as predictable as a rollercoaster, which is all that a summer release really needs to be in order for the audience to have a good time. Seven movies in, however, it would be nice if the recipe would get updated a bit .. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 30, 2025 Full Review Joe Lipsett Queer.Horror.Movies. Koepp’s structure has divided the film into two storylines that never quite mesh. While Rebirth does contain several stand-out set pieces, when everyone meets up in the finale, it becomes evident how unimportant any of the individual narratives are Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 20, 2025 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy As B.B. showstopper Very lacking of dinosaurs and very predictable Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/25 Full Review Andy G Overall, I think it ranks right around the same as Dominion for me, which I personally liked more than most people. Story wise, I think this movie has a better idea than Dominion, and better Dino action, but the characters are lacking in comparison. It's just a fun movie, and I think it's very well directed. I wouldn't mind seeing more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/05/25 Full Review Ron H Jurassic is always a fun watch with the family! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/02/25 Full Review Leonardo F Great story, did not feel repetitive. Lots of action. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/25 Full Review Christopher T Best Jurassic film since The Lost World. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/27/25 Full Review Kelli Good but not great. I enjoyed the new dinos and love Scarlet Johansson!! It has all the feels you are expecting from a Jurassic Park movie, the character relationships were a little underdeveloped. Movie felt a little rushed. But overall, I was glad I went to see it on the big screen. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/24/25 Full Review Read all reviews
