What to Know

Critics Consensus

Going back to basics with rip-roaring set pieces and fossilized clichés, Jurassic World Rebirth doesn't evolve this prehistoric franchise but does restore some of its most reliable DNA.

Audience Says

Equal parts comforting and terrifying, returning to the beloved Jurassic World is a thrill, and while predictable, Rebirth jump-starts the franchise with a dino-mite time at the movies.

Leigh Singer Sight & Sound Connective tissue between CGI-heavy set-pieces is perfunctory at best... and usually reliable David Koepp’s script bogged down with flat humour, paper-thin characters and plot holes so vast a T-Rex could amble through them. Nov 4, 2025 Full Review Peter Travers The Travers Take It’s sloppy, sappy, frenetic, charmless, plotless, derivative and devoid of surprise and characters to give a damn about, but oh those dinosaurs! Rated: 2/4 Oct 31, 2025 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) The result is not quite an extinction event-level disaster for the franchise, but neither is it a strong argument for its continuation. Oct 7, 2025 Full Review Matt Pais MattPais.com Like "Kong: Skull Island" if it looked fake and numerous shots were so badly staged that you want to rewind and see if the filmmaker’s decisions were really as terrible as those of the characters. Rated: D+ Nov 20, 2025 Full Review Erick Estrada Cinegarage It's formulaic cinema, obviously yes, but it's formulaic cinema that is delivering a quality product. [Full review in Spanish] Oct 14, 2025 Full Review Matthew Koss The Wandering Screen (YouTube) This is the kind of summer blockbuster we keep hoping for and so rarely get. It respects the legacy, introduces characters worth caring about, and delivers jaw-dropping dinosaur action on a grand scale. Rated: B+ Oct 8, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Jessica G If it wasn't for all the cool 🦕 this movie would get one star. Definitely the worst one in the franchise. The father, his two daughters, & the eldest teens disrespectful bf was an unnecessary addition we all could of done without. That was my biggest issue. There were a few other things that also helped garner such a low rating & seems to align with many other reivews given. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/25 Full Review Carmen R The story was not thought out. Not enough scenes with the main dinosaur. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Vicente This film was a fresh and exciting experience! I couldn’t have asked for a better film and I’m so looking to be an alive by the time it came out. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/20/25 Full Review Ell What was the dinosaur at the end, that was stupid Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/25 Full Review Cameron Was a bigger fan of Chris Pratt’s character but story line is good and movie was entertaining enough to keep my attention Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/17/25 Full Review KR At this point in the franchise, if you've seen 1 JP movie, you've seen them all! Oops we made big, scary dinosaurs that we shouldn't have, but surprise, we need to go visit their island for whatever reason and get chased by them. The story is the same, with a few new dinosaurs.
