Audience Member I like this movie because the actors and the characters are real salt of the earth Americans.they portrayed the girl call bean as a hippie but in reality she she was way ahead of her time and really I have intelligent person the perception in 1971 was quite a bit different. there really isn't any difference between the cowboy and the hippie they are both very much alike.it's a stupid old saying but, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. well it's about the best lemonade I ever had. this movie is dedicated to Steve Sunday, the rider with the famous patented dismount , from Danville California. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Reasonable slice-of-life portrait of a rodeo rider whose world has passed him by while he did a stint in jail. The movie has a number of interesting moments, along with quite a few that seem pretty scripted. All in all, unique film that is worth a look if it's on late at night. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Frances H Could only watch an hour--too dull and just into the rodeo scene. Very typical of a period of film making I never particularly liked. Normally I like Cliff Rovertson. The only part that made you sit up and take notice was the few minutes of Geraldine Page on screen. She's always excellent. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/03/14 Full Review Audience Member Ambles along without a much focus and be warned the ending is a real downer. Decent acting but apparently Geraldine Page was given second billing because of her stature, she is in the film briefly at the beginning and then vanishes from the picture. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member One hell of a movie! Now Ima have to start lookin up more Cliff Robertson flicks! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Overlong, but a modest and interesting character study. Robertson is very good, and touches on but avoids getting mired in the usual overplayed themes of gen. gap, celebrity, and counterculture. More Geraldine Page would have been nice, but there's a good support cast and many actual rodeo stars as themselves. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
