Sarthak B The film started off ambitious, and felt like a decent mix of Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Bryan Singer's The Usual Suspects, but then, they insert those slow-mo Bollywood scenes with a goddamn bunch of useless item songs. Without them, I think this could've been way better. Even though I kinda figured out who the snitch was way before the reveal, the dialogues they've included in the third act (cringy and cheesy, sure but also self-aware) really makes up for those Bollywood cliches and the ultimate reveal (which doesn't work here the way it did in Reservoir Dogs). Amitabh does the best job and Mahesh Manjrekar was quite a pleasant surprise. The rest of the cast sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Overall, wouldn't recommend if you've seen the original Tarantino film but it also atleast does an above average job in adapting the material. Its a very good bollywood film trying its every bit to be an international standard action film and giving same level of entertainment to indian audience but in bollywood style. Its no doubt a good movie with everything an indian stylish action movie can have. Its still entertaining to watch this movie after so many years. Its still fresh.
