Audience Member I watched this movie over the summer and overall, I must say it was a waste of two hours. At the beginning of the movie, the title character decides to talk about problems that farmers in rural areas are faced with-which is all good and well, but that is never brought up again. Furthermore, the movie brings to light-but never condemns-the misogyny of men in rural parts of India. I didn't quite understand what was going on in much of the middle of the movie-and after a certain point, I could hardly pay attention-but the ending was truly pathetic in every aspect. After showing people repeatedly trying to commit suicide because "Singam" won't marry them. everybody makes up and goes on with their lives. In essence, you couldn't pay me to watch this again.
