Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald Not since Edna Everage's first film appearance 40 years ago in Bruce Beresford's The Adventures of Barry McKenzie has Australian suburbia been so thoroughly scrutinised, analysed and satirised. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 6, 2012 Full Review Philippa Hawker The Age (Australia) Despite these familiar set-ups, it soon becomes clear that there is something missing from Kath And Kimderella. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 6, 2012 Full Review David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) The script, by Turner and Riley, and direction, by Ted Emery, lack distinction Rated: 2/5 Sep 6, 2012 Full Review Adam Ross The Aristocrat Instead of being a veritable 'best of', Kimderella feels, at best, like an average episode of the television series. Rated: 2/5 Sep 27, 2012 Full Review Simon Miraudo Quickflix You'll likely be looking for distractions to help make the time pass quicker. The obvious choice would be to keep count of all the hackneyed catch phrases, though I found tallying the repeated shots of exposed butt-cracks to be more fruitful. Rated: 2/5 Sep 14, 2012 Full Review Simon Foster Screen-Space There is a tangible sense that Kath and Kimderella is the last roll of the dice for a property that is well and truly played-out. A W I love Kath and Kim but this movie was just woeful and we couldn't even finish it. Worse than Vanilla Sky or Mamma Mia. Magda is simply not funny ever anyway so no real change there. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/26/22 Full Review Audience Member This movie was pure fun, reminding me a lot of movies like Young Frankenstein and Bridesmaids. Although hard to understand their thick accents at times, I found myself laughing a lot. And what great music choices! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/21 Full Review Audience Member If you don't like the Kath & Kim series, then don't watch the movie (i.e. all of the critics on here). You clearly don't understand just what Gina Riley and Jane Turner are trying to do, or for that fact, have actually achieved. For those of you who love the series, its a must watch! Its funny and heartwarming and I for one can't get enough! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as the TV series Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member The hit-to-miss gag ratio is a little too far in favour of miss. Full review later. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Loses A Lot Of The Home-Ground Advantage Once They've Hit Italy. The Aussie-Bogan Factor Doesn't Get The Big Laughs Overseas. If You're A Fan It Is Amusing, Leaving You In A Good Mood. Has A Solid Range Daggy Go-To Jokes That Tend To Pay-Off, But It's Nor Laugh A Minute, That's For Sure. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
