Audience Member Kaw R (gore and killing) - Horror and beasts Horror Monsters Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Alan M I am currently watching this movie. It is really good. I am injoying it. A bit low budget but for the money spent it us a good movie with plenty of action and tension. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/19/22 Full Review tim s "Kaw" is a SCI FI, horror that takes its inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." A small town sheriff, one day away from relocation to the city , finds his community under attack from thousands of vicious ravens. Along with help from a few local residents including the doctor, played by "The Birds" actor Rod Taylor, sheriff Wayne tries to protect the surviving town members. The performances are solid and Rod Taylor's presence adds a sense of reference back to the original 1963 horror "The Birds."  Apart from a very unnecessary sub plot regarding a small Mennonite commune, "Kaw" has a good story line with a believable reason for the attack. Some of the effects are surprisingly good and there are some gory horror moments. However it does not build in tension the way Hitchcock crafted the 1963 chiller and due to the sub plot it struggles with pacing. However  "Kaw" did hold my attention and interest for the full duration of the film. This despite the school bully surviving and some questionable accents and dialogue regarding the Mennonite Farmers. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Another decent animal attacks movie. Nothing really noteworthy, but it's got a solid premise and some good effects. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Zero momentum and botched execution of the simple stupidity of a killer birds movie make this a complete waste of time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member When your gun runs out of bullets use it as a bat, duh!! If this movie started out any slower, it would have started to play backwards.
