      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Keeping Up with the Joneses squanders a decent premise -- and a talented cast full of funny people -- on a witless and largely laugh-free suburban spy adventure.

Elijah B should've gotten a huge zero Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Hannah S Made my husband and I laugh so hard. Great, light hearted movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Carl B This movie is trying hard to be a tired formula comedy, and fails to even achieve that. It feels like one long awkward improv scene where everyone is grasping for a thread, and decides overacting will compensate. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Othman S Had to stop the movie immediately when Gal gadot came in. Cant stand Genocidal Gadot. I think any movie she now plays in will never receive good reviews. Minus from my side. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review Nim T A film that had its laughs but full of cliches. Positive points include the choice of the cast as they were able to show some chemistry amongst each other, in particular Isla Fisher and Zach Galifianakis. The script is flawed in the sense that the espionage shouldn't have easily mention their job is going to be. The love between one another is apparent, but there was lack of a villain approach and it feels very cheesy when watching the outcome. There is room for improvement for this film, and one thing that can do that is to have a more effective plot that brings us to one direction, not in circles. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/01/23 Full Review Emilliano Jr S Same old formulaic comedy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jude Dry indieWire Viewers who can't get enough of Galifianakis or Hamm will enjoy seeing the two spar onscreen, delivering in spades the unexpected phrasing and smoldering smirks each actor does so well. Rated: B Dec 19, 2016 Full Review Richard Brody New Yorker The script sets up the action part of the movie with an interminably laborious and close-fitting literalness that hardly lets any of the actors breathe. Oct 24, 2016 Full Review Jonathan Romney Observer (UK) The treatment for this action spoof could have been written on the back of a matchbox - of a single match, even. Rated: 1/5 Oct 23, 2016 Full Review Hannah Brown Jerusalem Post Dopey but fairly entertaining. Feb 9, 2024 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy A picture graced with four bright performances but hampered by a plot that felt recycled even back when Millard Fillmore was president.
