Devesh Sharma Filmfare Sankaran Nair was a judicial reformer who dared to go against the tide and his efforts should rightly be lauded. Kudos to the filmmakers who brought to light this long-forgotten hero... Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 19, 2025 Full Review Manjusha Radhakrishnan Gulf News (UAE) It's powerful imagery, yes, but stripped of emotional buildup or nuance, it lands hollow. The intent is clear, but the context -- the soul -- is somehow missing. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 18, 2025 Full Review Sukanya Verma Rediff.com Playing yet another real life hero with the same righteous rage he’s turned into his calling card, Akshay Kumar's ‘more of the same’ shtick has long lost its appeal. Rated: 2/5 Apr 18, 2025 Full Review Kshitij Rawat Lifestyle Asia (India) The film oversimplifies and overexplains as if we’re toddlers. It evocative at times. But it is not revolutionary cinema. Not even close. Apr 18, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Vijay Goyal Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Ajitpal singh Great movie, must watch it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Amit G Such a brilliant movie to know about the jaliyawala bagh hatya kand on April 13,1919. Good acting Akshay Kumar. Akshay Kumar such a brilliant actor of Bollywood industry. He is always tell about the history. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Mirza M 'Kesari Chapter 2' is an emotionally charged courtroom drama bolstered by its hard-hitting narrative and excellent performances. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review arvind s If this is a sign of things to come, then I am very happy. By this I mean fan screenings. It is a fantastic way to get audiences to see a movie prior to release and share their (unpaid) experiences. It also shows the amount of faith that the makers have in their film. The movie begins with thr ruthless massacre of thousands in Jallianwala Bagh. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who is appointed by and has pledged allegiance to the Crown, sees these atrocities of his employer and stands against them in the court of law. The Kesari franchise seems to be working for Akshay Kumar. Chapter 2 brings you Akshay Kumar in an avatar that is devoid of any frills. He plays his part as an acclaimed lawyer and that's it. He brings a certain kind of intensity to the character and you can see the passion and work that he has put into it. R Madhavan has limited screentime but is brilliant as Sankaran's adversary. Ananya Panday plays a type of character that she has never done before and it is not bad. Regina Cassandra, Amit Sial, Atul Kumar co-star. Kesari Chapter 2 has a lot of defining moments. The court hearing is brilliantly executed with many dialogues bound to garner cheers from the audience. Akshay Kumar's final monologue is one of the best parts of the movie. The production design is good and so is the music. Kesari does lack emotional depth. It doesn't move you as much as Sardar Uddham did. But given the premise follows the aftermath of the massacre, there may not have been a need for it. Nevertheless, Kesari Chapter 2 is a history lesson about a lesser known event and the heroes behind it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Audience Member Karan Singh tyagi's Kesari Chapter 2 is a stirring tale of colonial injustice. There is nothing subtle here about the flow of proceedings still the director is extremely successful in evoking feelings of disgust towards the British. What makes Kesari Chapter 2 stand out is the characterization of Ananya Pandey. The actress plays a role breaking conventions as an idealistic young woman.
