05/20/2019 Not plot-driven, but rather it is a successful film based on its themes, cinematography and mis-en-scene. See more 11/11/2014 This movie is a fantastic masterpiece in realism. There have been great writers who have made their venture in this genre, but Mrinal Sen creates and everlasting impression through his movie 'Khandhar'. It's a must see movie, engraves a deep mark in a thinking person's mind. See more 08/10/2007 Shabana Azmi has never given a better performance. It does not take you more than a few seconds to realize (all over again) what a great actress she is. Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor, Annu Kapoor are great too. It is also a buddy movie - but a fairly serious one, took me back to my high school and college days in Delhi, India. One of those movies I can watch repeatedly and not get tired.
