One of the enduring problems with Balki's films persists -- his crackling concept runs out of steam. It's almost as if he spends so much of his creative energy coming up with the high-wire idea that he has none left to flesh out the narrative around it. yash b 11/14/2020 "Ki & Ka" does have some good messages and talking points, but they are presented in a pretty dull way. If this movie was just a bit more entertaining, I think there was some potential here. Since the central focus in this movie is a romance, it is important for there to be chemistry, and there just isn't because Arjun Kapoor's performance is so dry and bland. I have liked him in other movies, but in this movie, he almost put me to sleep at times. The movie has some progressive points to make, which is nice, but it was easy to overlook for me because I didn't particularly enjoy the storyline of the movie.
