Seems more like experimenting with cameras and a "race" setting and trying to find something that works from an entertainment point of view -- didn't find anything entertaining. Interesting to see Venice in 1914 though. Not a great deal happens, with the tramp just hogging the camera, getting in the way of both the cameraman and the racers.
