Audience Member The feature film debut of director Fred Zinnemann, the man who'd later go on to direct such classics as "High Noon" and "From Here to Eternity," kicks things off with a solid little police thriller. Van Heflin, an actor who I'm always baffled at how he became a leading man, plays a police chemist uncovering the mayor's murderer. This is strictly B-Movie material, but it's well done and even if you don't see the brilliance you'd see in later Zinnemann films, you do see that he's a solid filmmaker. Certainly worth checking out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review s r A well made forensics mystery/drama.
