      Critics Consensus

Disappointing even by the relaxed standards of live-action children's entertainment, A Kid in King Arthur's Court stands as a rare near-total misfire from Disney.

Reel U They don't make corny Family films like this anymore. It's either cartoons, or superhero films. While I understand the lackluster story and cliche writing is rather dull for a more sophisticated audience it has a beat of 90's charm that you can't seem to find in children's films these days. Kids of today deserve corny creative films that can be enjoyed by the entire family on movie night. It's not going to win any awards but it achieves the goal as a corny family film good for all ages. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/23 Full Review Stephen C LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Ashlynn C First off I could not for the life of me tell you what the plot of this movie was. I did predict Katey would show up in the future as a baseball player 30 minutes into the movie. I believe it deserves a sequel teen beach movie style. My friend is never going to let me choose a movie again. She has lost all faith in my expert movie selection. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Cyrus K This is one of Disneys worst movies. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Michael W This Disney movie was alright. Thomas Ian Nicholas, Joss Ackland, Paloma Baeza, Art Malik, Kate Winslet, Daniel Craig, and the rest of the cast did a decent job in this movie. The plot of the movie was just a little entertaining and kind of humorous. It's about an unexpected boy from the future being chosen to save Camelot. If you haven't seen this movie yet, don't waste your time. It's not very good. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Rated: 1/4 May 22, 2013 Full Review Jeff Shannon Seattle Times It is numbingly bland, homogenized and deflated by an utter lack of original wit or charm. Worst of all, it is subtly but conspicuously condescending to its target audience. Rated: 2/4 Mar 2, 2022 Full Review Ralph Novak People Magazine This lame effort, Disney's latest live-action motion picture for children, owes a big, fat nod for its plot to Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
