Audience Member Bizarre, disjointed thriller worth watching only for Keach's performance. It doesn't really get interesting until the end and by then you don't care. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member pretty insane movie. old school physco killer cop on the loose. check it out made in TX. warning i dont think i saw one brother in this flick. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I am sure the book this film is based on is a million times better than this poorly acted, poorly edited, badly scored piece of 1970's trash. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member good noirish thriller Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A very strong concept, with a great central performance are held back by some rather mediocre central characters and a sub-par screenplay. The concept is great, and I like some of the decisions that were made to show the angst and psychological damage in Lou's mind. Essentially this film is a perfect candidate to be remade, and I hope Winterbottom pulls it off cause it could be a great film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Great source material, but needed a faaar better director. Keach tries hard, but is let down. Wally Hammond Time Out This again-atypical film from Winterbottom, the genre-swapping director of A Mighty Heart, Genova and The Road to Guantanamo, is a much more sober affair than its early, controversial press might suggest. Rated: 4/5 Jun 2, 2010 Full Review Time Out Not even the offices of the excellent Burt Kennedy can save this hopelessly stodgy and psychologising story. Apr 9, 2008 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Never convincing. Rated: C+ Aug 26, 2015 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Miss FlickChick Anti-ingenue Susan Tyrell's performance as the feckless hooker who inadvertently unleashes a hellhound on a small mining town is so rawly effective it's painful to watch. Jul 24, 2010 Full Review TV Guide The just-average script and some weak supporting roles, however, ultimately limit the film. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 9, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews
