R G I stumbled onto Killer Party while looking for April Fool's day themed horror movies. A slasher movie check. An 80's horror movie check. Sounds like a good time. Right? Sigh. (https://foreverfinalgirl.com/killer-party/) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Steve D A strange tone that does not work. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/05/23 Full Review Sean S This is a late 1980's campy slasher horror movie from Canada. It is from a time probably better forgotten. It works for background filler when working on you laptop. ha. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review dave s Other than an opening five minutes that manages to keep you on your toes and a finale that is fifteen minutes of over-the-top weirdness, Killer Party is a plotless mess. Yet another entry in the low-budget horror genre from the 80s, whatever story there is involves three university students trying to gain admittance to a sorority. There's a Halloween party. There are hi-jinks. There are a ton of red herrings. There are pretty girls and handsome boys. There is some horrible 80s pop music. Unfortunately, there are no laughs, no scares and no suspense. To make matters worse, the always inept Paul Bartel makes an appearance as a professor and, as you'd expect, manages to embarrass himself. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Muddled and stupid mess of "April Fool's Day" type killings combined inexplicably with a out-of-nowhere "Exorcist"-style possession. The movie starts out very well with a clever introduction. But it sputters badly after that. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Wacky little B-Movie that goes all over the place. Seriously, it's totally schizophrenic, as if it can't decide what kind of horror flick it wants to be, but the thing is it's a blast. It's mostly bloodless, but it's fun, has likeable characters and keeps you on your toes. And man... that ending is terrific! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/22 Full Review Read all reviews
