Emmett Young (Scott Wolf) is a hopeful young detective who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Struggling to deal with his sudden death sentence, Young tries to carry on with his work, but without much success. When the enigmatic Jack Marlow (Gabriel Byrne) approaches Young and offers to have him killed at an unexpected time and location, the despairing investigator agrees. Although Young goes back to his job, his strange deal lingers over his head, causing ever-increasing tension.

Dem Film fehlt in erster Linie eine glaubhafte Handlung, die ein bisschen Spannung mit sich bringt - und ein sympathischer(er) Hauptdarsteller. Tim roth und Gabriel Byrne hingegen sind mal wieder sehr sehenswert.
