Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com Minor sins are easy to forgive for such a bold, idiosyncratic anti-Western as this, the kind we don’t often get. Rated: 3/4 Oct 3, 2025 Full Review Phil Hoad Guardian If not quite in the top tier of 21st-century westerns, this supernatural oater from director Ned Crowley has a distinctive silhouette. Rated: 4/5 Sep 29, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views “Killing Faith” consists of amazing parts that do not add up to a cohesive whole. It needed more work before filming ever started instead of relying on the audience’s generous spirit to be satiated with a lot of shiny, inconsistent distractions Oct 5, 2025 Full Review John Stark Mac the Movie Guy Guy Pearce and DeWanda Wise deliver strong performances in this underrated western that doubles as a possession thriller just in time for Halloween. Rated: 63/100 Oct 4, 2025 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media This gory, well-cast "weird Western" is solid and simple, telling a pretty straightforward "on the road" story but keeping things uncertain and unexpected at every turn. Rated: 3/5 Oct 4, 2025 Full Review Amie Simon I Love Splatter Visually, Killing Faith is staggering. The desert landscapes are beautiful and apocalyptic, and the atmospheric score underlines the sense of dread. A bleak and somehow strangely tender, fable about belief, survival, and the duty of protecting innocence. Oct 3, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Spooky Great concept awful ending Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/05/25 Full Review James M If the Coen Bothers, David Lynch and Cormac McCarthy got together to make a movie this would be it. Totally unique in every way and the performances and writing are top notch. Deserves to be seen on the big screen. We will see again. If only to further our conversation and theory discussion. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/05/25 Full Review Stephen O I’m a fan of Writer/Director Ned Crowley. Middleman starring Jim O’Heir was awesome and Killing Faith exceeded all of my expectations. I will watch this movie again at least one more time so I can pick up all of the clues that I might have missed the first time. I thought all of the actors were awesome but the scene with Joanna Cassidy left a real impression! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/25 Full Review Cyns Corner 3.75/5.0 STARS - Killing Faith surprised me — in the best way. Set in 1849 Arizona, it’s a gritty, plague-scarred Western that blends survival, faith, and danger into something unexpectedly haunting. The acting is strong across the board, with Guy Pearce delivering a rough, damaged performance that fits the tone perfectly. DeWanda Wise brings quiet strength and emotion (and her eyes really draw you in), while the young boy who plays Eddie adds some surprising humor that lightens the tension. Bill Pullman doesn’t appear until about 30 minutes before the end, but when he does, he makes his scenes count. The story went in directions I didn’t anticipate, and that unpredictability kept me hooked. The world feels dangerous and real, and I liked the balance between dialogue, character work, and atmosphere. On the downside, a few editing choices are a little confusing — one quick shot of someone sitting on the ground felt random — and a couple of transitions made me pause to catch up. But overall, this is a gripping, well-acted Western with an edge of mystery. No. Tons left to the interpretation of the viewer. Well done! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/25 Full Review Read all reviews
