Denny B This movie is great. The story, characters and gritty realistic imagery is perfect. Its a little bit too long and the runtime definitely could have been tighter, but for me it’s not a huge issue because the story is beyond epic and entertaining. T I'm amazed by the positive reviews over here. The movie starts promising: the search of Darrow for a job deepens her character. But then things get worse. Once on the island en after the capture, Darrow is lowered on a drawbridge. The ropes can hold her weight. Then Kong comes and picks her up, snapping the ropes!. She should have lost at least ONE hand! Then he starts running through the forrest, holding Darrow in one hand. He certainly would hav sqeezed her like a rotten tomato! A necklash was inevitable, but Darrow doesn't have a scratch! Later on Kong fights a complete zo of prehistoric animals. She does not get a scratch. E crewmember on the rescue fires a machinegun on a mate who is attaqcked by som giant migs. The mate is dancing like hel to get rid of them, but stil not a single bullet hits him... Then Kong arrives in the States. It's freezing cold, but Darrow in her negligé feels no cold at all! She should have been frozen and frostbited, did not suffer from hypothermia, but climbs to the top of the Empire state building. No gusts of wind there... No freezing... I'm willing to accept some attacks on my sanity, but this... Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review Lia P One of the best movies of today, the plot seems like something straight out of a science fiction book the plot is very well executed, including Jacks performance and I would like him to land more roles like that in the near future. This is my tenth rewatch of this movie so entertaining you can watch over and over again and not get bored I’m kinda upset we didn’t get a sequel to this movie and I think we still could be in a different cinematic universe than the monster verse. It’s darker than the newer movies and that’s what we need. Some comedy parts now and then but the tone goes from that to a dark and scary and somewhat poetic tone. The ending is a thrill ride and somewhat devastating showing how kong has lost so much in his life. "It was beauty killed the beast," Brilliant ending to the movie.
