Greek immigrants named Andreas (Michael Welden) and Vassilis (Stephen Lang) flee New York in 1915 and hop a train illegally to Chicago to look for work. But they get caught and thrown in jail. Then, a man claiming to be a lawyer, Harry (Larry Atlas), gets them out. Harry actually works for the railroad, and Andreas now has to work for him. Andreas and Harry fight, and both men go their separate ways. But when Andreas ends up at a dangerous mine out west, Harry is there, too.
