isla s 09/04/2022 This is quite a charming watch. There is a somewhat eccentric character present that I found amusing at times and I liked seeing how the titular characters life panned out. Based on an HG Wells novel, I thought it was an interesting story and film, one with the main theme being on the British social class system at the turn of the 20th century. Its a little bland for those who prefer more action packed type films but then thats perhaps to be expected, given this is a film dating from the 1940s and its in black and white. An interesting story and an enjoyable watch, I'd say its worth a watch. See more 03/23/2011 Watching this movie... See more 10/06/2009 wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie....i think that michael redgrave, diana wynyard, phyllis calvert, arthur riscoe, edward rigby play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that the director of this comedy/drama movie had done a great job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect thorughout this movie....this is a great movie 2 watch....its a really powerful drama movie 2 watch its got a great cast thorughout this movie its a great movie 2 watch See more 07/11/2008 It has charm and grace, but it is like going for a quiet walk in the park, ok for a bit but not inspirational.
