Such a strong woman Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Definitely worth a watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Sarah Fisher plays the amazing true story of Toronto native Carley Allison, the figure skater whom was diagnosed with a rare form of throat cancer at age 17 in 2013 Carley had trained so hard to compete and this affliction almost broke her down entirely but she refused to give into it and by making a few videos of her story she was able to garner the attention of so many people and becoming an inspiration she also met a very understanding guy, John Servini in high school who promised to always smile no matter how ugly things became her dream was also to sing despite the risks involved Fisher does an outstanding job playing Carley; you see her determination, her vulnerability, and her overall positiveness of the scenario anyone with an illness like hers can be helped and shouldn't have to feel alone one bit we shouldn't let the bad in, don't let the negativity consume you, our own triumphs can be the moments we choose to smile or not, the people around us are always there for us and to love no matter what, we can always find the lighter side of things, sickness doesn't make you ugly, it can only make you feel that way a heavy but uplifting film saying we can feel both good and bad as well as kiss or cry Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Inspiring movie based on a true story about Carley Allison's short but amazing life. Bruce DeMara Toronto Star Without nuance, it's not a challenging or rewarding film. Rated: 2/4 Feb 9, 2017 Full Review Norman Wilner NOW Toronto It's much, much better than you might expect. And the ending packs a real emotional wallop, especially if you're coming to the movie without knowing very much about the story. Rated: 4/5 Feb 8, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
