Sarah Manvel Cinemattraction The Trap is well-made enough to deserve a wider audience (especially when you consider how many eastern Europeans now live across the United Kingdom). Aug 7, 2018 Full Review Robert Roten Laramie Movie Scope An effective morality play. The plot has enough twists and turns in it to keep it interesting. Rated: B Feb 26, 2009 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Technically efficient but with a plot lacking in warmth, with too many implausible events and a story line that's too slick to find credible. Rated: C+ Nov 18, 2008 Full Review Eric D. Snider Cinematical It may have some extra padding, but its bone structure -- the basic story and the way it's laid out -- is impeccable. Rated: B- Mar 29, 2008 Full Review Boyd van Hoeij european-films.net Klopka (The Trap) starts off as a fascinating post-Milosevic film noir but ends up somewhere in the land of day-time soap circa 1985. flixster f 12 September, 2014 While the plot is about okay, the execution is a let-down. The pacing is inconveniently and unnecessarily slow. Such a thriller ought to have a brisk pace, and better twists and turns (which are hard to find herein). Since almost everything is predictable, there's hardly anything to keep me hooked. Yet, I watched it till the ending credits, longing for something worthwhile to occur. My bad, I reckon. Aptly named, I'd rate the movie 1/10. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member He overpaid his debt . I mean the guy he killed might had killed others. But he definitely was a crook. Crooks can be family men too, still they must know that getting killed is an "occupational" hazard. So if 30k of his ill begotten gains are given for his executioners' son surgery. That's ironic. But I wouldn't consider that unconscionable. As far as karmic justice is concerned, the executioner may had some small debt to the widow, but certainly not his life. He could have continue to carry for her daughter or even repay it eventually. But he chose to die because he was too conscientious of a person for his own good.
