paul s Great topic and ministry Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review david f A great documentary about a restaurant staffed by ex-cons. I couldn't help but laugh when one of them got caught robbing a bank, even though I knew I shouldn't. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Another Oscar nominated documentary short. This one is a about a restaurant that trains ex-felons to be cooks and servers in order to help them find new lives outside of prison. It was very interesting as it looks at the personalities of some of the people who trained there and the model they were going for. Jude Dry indieWire While certainly a worthwhile story, the film feels as hastily made as the kitchen's mouthwatering offerings, though the result is not quite as tasty. Rated: B- Feb 23, 2018 Full Review MaryAnn Johanson Flick Filosopher A hugely positive example of how to pay it forward and help make the world a better place one person at a time. As a film, though, there's little unexpected in it. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 5, 2018 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat What makes Knife Skills amazing is its goal of rehabilitation. It's about forgiveness, offering hope and giving second chances. Rated: 4.5/5 Feb 26, 2018 Full Review Dan Lybarger Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Knife Skills is inspiring without being sappy. Rated: 4/5 Feb 23, 2018 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Shot in a clean, crisp style that reflects the dynamics of the kitchen, Knife Skills is brilliantly edited and packs a lot into just 40 minutes. Rated: 4/5 Feb 21, 2018 Full Review Arlin Golden Film Inquiry It is a film with some great moments of personal insight, but its lack of focus left me slightly wanting.
