When Sisters Ana (Veronica Oddo) and Ursula (Elba Escobar), two nuns living in a large Latin American city, meet a political fugitive on the run from the corrupt city government, they decide to give him a place to hide from his pursuers. Refusing to lie, the Sisters' actions are soon discovered, placing them in danger of execution as well. The mayor (Juan Carlos Gené) is keenly aware of the repercussions from executing two nuns, however, so he must decide what to do with the treasonous women.
