Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See It doesn’t rewrite the recipe, but it’s self-aware enough to poke fun at the genre and not take itself too seriously as it delivers a tasty enough action treat that does enough to differentiate itself from the pack. Also, Ciryl Gane is weirdly adorable. Rated: B- Jul 1, 2025 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider MMA fans might gain something from seeing real-life pro fighter Ciryl Gane making the move into action films. But KO doesn't land its punches where it needs to most. Jun 24, 2025 Full Review JK Sooja Common Sense Media The fight scenes and action set pieces are above average, but this action thriller is too generic. Jun 11, 2025 Full Review Casey Chong Casey's Movie Mania UFC's Cyril Gane leads Netflix's predictable but visceral action thriller. Rated: 3/5 Jun 8, 2025 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies since K.O. has a killer club brawl and a healthy dose of violent retribution, I had no choice but to turn into that Martin Scorsese meme and say, “Absolute cinema.” Rated: 5/5 Jun 7, 2025 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut Director Antoine Blossier favours wide, clear shots, and the fights benefit from not having been edited to pulp or distractingly embellished with visual effects. Dominic B Some good fighting sequences and winning actors. On the other hand a bit too sadistic to be truly enjoyable. But still worth a peek, and watching a non-American actioner does add a bit of novelty, being slightly different to US fare. (ENGLISH) K.O. is one of those films that doesn’t pretend to be anything else: straight-up action, violent and relentless. The plot is just an excuse to watch UFC star Cyril Gane unleash his physical power on screen. And while the story doesn’t break new ground, the frantic pace and fight sequences make sure there’s no time to get bored. The main character carries a past marked by guilt and is forced back into violence when a new conflict arises. By his side, a police officer who doesn’t always follow the rules provides an interesting contrast, though the film barely explores her motivations. Everything moves fast, with the spotlight firmly on the punches and chases. What really works here are the brutal action sequences. Gane may not be a versatile actor, but physically he delivers exactly what’s expected: strength, agility, and sheer presence. Some scenes, like the nightclub fight or the one in the police station, are shot with a raw energy that recalls the best of modern action cinema. Anyone looking for depth or layered drama won’t find it here. K.O. keeps things simple: brutal fights, occasional comic relief, and a tight runtime that plays to its advantage. In the end, it doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it does exactly what it promises: ninety minutes of stylized violence and fast-paced entertainment. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/22/25 Full Review T B This movie is bad ass. It’s French Dwayne Johnson. Le Rocher. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/09/25 Full Review Peter K Really liked it in the original French. Yes, parts of this production might seem predictable, but the leads were attractive and the action was non-stop! Cyril Gane played a soft-spoken 'hero' with a score to settle: and he fit the role well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/28/25 Full Review Jim C The main character came across more real than the usual tough guy. He doesn’t speak tough and is cordial to the actress. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/18/25 Full Review Tyson C Didn’t hold my attention. Maybe it’s better in the original language. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
