Audience Member Ichi The Killer Episode Zero is an anime that acts as the short prequel to the bloody, cult classic movie of the same title (Ichi The Killer). The anime is pretty lame to sum it up. It is basically a 45min excuse to show blood, tits and more blood. It actually attempts to describe the madness behind Ichi's psycho-sexual mind state and lust for violence. I wasn't that impressed with the plot, animation or anything. It's just one of those lame anime's that was probably better off never being created! what a waste of animation cell's. Anything for a buck i guess. If you are even remotely curious about the story of Ichi the Killer, just watch the live action movie itself and don't even bother with this trash. 1.5 starz yeeccchhh! terrible. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is awesome!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member better than movie, and really funny too even though it's not meant to be a joke Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is disturbing. It makes you understand how Ichi became a sadist and you kind of feel sorry him. It leaves you feeling very uncomfortable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member very very disturbing Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Inevitably compared to the Miike version, Episode 0 is a curiously incomplete project filmed in a different style to Ichi the Killer. It builds up its sexual and violent themes through a psychotic tempo, and leaves a lot of its story to a weak explanatory ending. Unless the animators didn't have the budget left to finish with their animation, I don't see why something like this would be cut so short and stapled with an anti climax. The sexual sadism and violence is explicit even by anime standards, but the surrounding narrative is too scrunched to be of value. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
