Audience Member Came across this movie purely by randomness thanks to a FB suggestion of a live feed the guys were having. Not knowing any of the background of the webseries that led to the movie I watched this movie going in with zero expectations. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the movie, enough that I watched it twice within 24 hours of the rental. Overall the jokes were funny, the Korean cultural explanations mixed in were pretty cool, and the eye candy (Daniel Dae Kim *sigh* And Peter shirtless yum!) made for a pretty good movie. The movie definitely gives the vibe of getting a peek into the male brotherhood and the dynamics of their friendship which I enjoyed. A few of the serious scenes still felt like they were missing something that didn't quite drum up the feelings they should have and some of the characters felt a little underdeveloped(maybe that was in the webseries) but those things weren't enough to take away from the movie's greatness. I'm glad to see a movie like this out there and hope there's a lot more to come and more mainstream. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious film - especially if you can relate! Loved this movie. Saw it in theaters. It has some unforgettable scenes and several of the characters really stand out, especially Peter Jae's character and CEO's daughter. I used to live in Ktown, and every now and then would chill with folks like the ones in this movie. It aims at breaking down stereotypes, allowing insight into a community some might call exclusive, and also tackles some beefs that Korean Americans have with racism. It's an important film in that they're are so few Asian-American films these days & I hope we can support them! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member After living abroad in South Korea and returning to America this movie gave me the feels! As mentioned in other reviews the 4th wall is broken to explain Korean terms to non-Korean speakers. Ktown isn't exactly like Korea but it has its own unique vibe which can be seen in this movie. I was a big fan of the webisodes and waited years for this movie to come out like so many others! Everyone's a bit older but certainly not wiser in the case of one of the characters lol. You'll see ;) It's like seeing your old friends again. There's a brotherhood that can be seen in this movie and you'll see "Jeong" expressed subtly in many of the segments. Some of the humor is trashy but that comes with the territory. This movie has comedy, a bit of romance, and is basically just a bunch of Asian bros dealing with the curveballs that life throws at us. It's no "Hangover", but it's as realistic as it gets when you wanna feel like you're in Ktown...and that in itself is awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I get a thrill learning about different nationalities, traditions & lifestyles. That's one of the best things I walked away with while also feeling familiar when it came to struggle, loyalty & friendships in KTOWN Cowboys. Loved this movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not a Korean movie, it's a American movie with Korean actors in it. Loved it and made me wanna go to Ktown! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Great film that gives you a little glimpse into KTown, with a lot of humor. If you are familiar with Korean American culture and LA KTown - you will find it even more enjoyable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Justin Lowe Hollywood Reporter This ensemble comedic drama maintains a light touch while surveying the challenges of accepting adult responsibilities. Mar 21, 2016 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com "Ktown Cowboys" often lacks an original voice or the wit for which it's aiming, especially regarding musings on friendship and identity. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 18, 2016 Full Review Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times Often comes off as a guided tour of Koreatown rather than an immersive, lived-in residency. Mar 17, 2016 Full Review Allen Almachar The MacGuffin On one hand, I appreciate seeing a unique voice pop up to represent one facet of this ever-evolving society. On the other: the tonal issues, forced drama, and lack of developed female characters proved to be problematic.
