08/01/2017 Film Students struggling to achieve a story & impact in a short time need to see this film. The story of three very different women who fall for a charming French Businessman who lacks no wealth but integrity. He abandons the women & decides to zoom around French Seasides in his new Sportscar & while driving he is attacked by a bird & crashes suddenly & dies on impact. The follows the response of the three women & this film just achieves so much in 38-45 mins. Directed by the master of Early French Cinema Jean Epstein who created the Avant Garde Movement...a must see for cinema lovers. See more 09/23/2009 Not as weird as I would expect from a collection of experimental cinema. Maybe my definition of avant-garde is too narrow or something. See more 09/10/2009 A whiff of fresh air seeing this operatic film again. See more 01/31/2009 Some interesting uses of editing and story structure, but not one that necessarily held my interest. By the third chapter, I already found myself struggling to even recall what the first chapter was even about. See more 10/08/2008 The main dude looks like the Joker when he smiles. Other than that this is simply a great piece of film and quite engrossing. Amazing shots and sequences aplenty. If you dig film, dig this. See more 07/26/2007 What a jerkoff. Too bad most flaky, cowardly two-timers don't get hit in the head by birds while driving. See more Read all reviews
