Audience Member It's no-sense .. and low budget. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Meh. Pretty lousy for a Naschy film. The story is convoluted and hard to follow. Without any scares, and music that is completely mismatched, it's hard to recommend. There is some gorgeous cinematography though... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a pretty strange movie that at times gets violent and bloody and other times gets laughably stupid. There's a really cool decapitation scene and a part where a man is stabbed with a crucifix, but that is contrasted with moments of a woman with a box mask on her head (I don't even know how to explain the mask) and a bizarre convoluted plot line that is actually kind of difficult to follow. I'm going to go ahead and try to explain it because I think there is more enjoyment to be had from this movie if you're not trying to figure out what you're watching. Basically, a guru's brother raped a girl years earlier and was burned alive by three families in India. They fled the country to England, and he goes there to kill the women descendants and turn them into zombies to kill the families that burned him. It's honestly just as confusing trying to explain it. This movie even has one of the most out of place soundtracks I've ever heard in a movie. It's stupid, but it adds something cheap to the movie that I like. This isn't really the easiest movie to riff because there are some pretty cool shots and it seemed like there was decent effort put into this movie. Not sure if I can recommend it though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I have to ask what happen to Paul Naschy in this film, usually his films are better then this. Paul plats 3 different parts in this movie which I found under the Spanish Horror Collection. The film is about voodoo and zombies, except all these zombies are beautiful women who don't eat flesh they just seem to choke guys to death, now there's a change. Made little sense, Comes in Spanish or English, with English subtitles, been my experience that English dubs really suck in most movies, this is no exception, but even in Spanish with English subtitles this one still blows. 2 stars Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member It has a few amusing moments, including Naschy as an Indian guru simply because he has a turban on his head, but overall it's a little slow and plodding to wade through to see where its going. Also noteworthy is Naschy's makeup job as a disfigured character, which looks like a melted oil-painting on the side of his face. Worth a look for a rather different take on the genre, but probably won't change the way you look at cinema. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member A Tale of Voodoo and the dead rising from the grave as a Mystic Warlock summons the Zombies to commit murders, just like in 'Horror rises from the tomb' Paul Naschy plays both the hero and the villain in this and i regard this as one of Naschy's best films, great story and an important Horror to the spanish film industry.
