Often quick on its feet and energetic rather than melodramatic or inward-looking, this is a promising debut... Go to Full Review

Making his feature debut, writer-director Gustavo Rondn Crdova emphasizes an understated, realistic style and lets the silences speak volumes - an apt metaphor for how a lack of connection can bring down families and communities in equal measure. Go to Full Review

Crdova's film brings little that's new to its stylistic school of observational realism - but hits the Caracas sidewalks hard and purposefully enough to compensate. Go to Full Review

03/12/2019 La familia enamora en su intencion,Pero en su argumento deja mucho que decir,el real interes que intenta crear se queda un poco a medias cuando ves transcurrido gran parte de la pelicula sin llegar a un climax realmente reconfortante. See more 09/28/2018 Brutally stark realism in this feature debut of Venezuelan filmmaker Gustavo Rondon Cordova. After a fatal confrontation in a poor and crowded neighborhood outside Caracas, a man (Giovanny Garcia) and his rebellious and headstrong 12-year-old son (Reggie Reyes) must go on the lam to avoid violent retaliation. To survive, they'll be forced to move from one job to another and sleep where and when they can. However, forced into these conditions together they will move somewhat closer to each other. This movie is not for the faint of heart, as the depressive and stark tone can be unrelenting. However, the acting is most realistic and you feel like you're right there on the streets with the two protagonists. But don't expect any kumbaya ending here.
