Vladan Petkovic Cineuropa A hybrid of documentary and fiction, the film combines the stories of five individuals into an admirably coherent whole. antti p A Moldavian wrestler, a nurse from Philippines, an organic farmer, an elderly prostitute and even elderlier native Catalanian, the half documentary, half fiction film follows these 5 people playing themselves, trying to fight to stay alive in the outskirts of Barcelona during the hot summer. And the life is hard. The most beautiful and yet most sad scene is when the 88-year-old unwraps a chocolate she got from the nurse and takes the first bite, like the best thing she has ever tasted. So not too happy a film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
