The Sox are looking like championship contenders, until one day movie star Pepita Zorita (Lupe Velez) visits a game, and Wacky Waters (Eddie Albert), the team's ace thrower, falls in love. The club has Pepita follow the team on a road trip. Unfortunately, this proves distracting for Waters, who pitches losing game after losing game.
