This swift, simple musical wasn’t enough of a vehicle to really propel Monroe toward stardom (Columbia canceled her contract after the film’s release), but it’s still a curious historical chapter in the icon’s career. Go to Full Review

ashley h @ashleyhobgood87 08/17/2017 Ladies of the Chorus is a decent film. It is about a faded burlesque queen passes on a chance to return to the spotlight so her chorus-girl daughter. Adele Jergens and Marilyn Monroe give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Phil Karlson did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the music and romance.
