Audience Member Seems it intended breaking rules from the same genre, turns out kinda awkward & puzzling however. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Another ransom demand movie with some thrills mixed with comedy. Although Sammi Cheng and Eason Chan performed well, the story and direction from the team that brought you Infernal Affairs, Alan Mak and Felix Chong didn't make it all that interesting. Most of all I only saw this because Sammi Cheng is in it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A long waited Felix Chong and Siu Fai Mak film and it didn't disappointed me. It's Amusing, Entertaining and Interesting~!~ Sammi and Eason did a pretty good job in this movie, esp Eason, he really impressed me by playing the villain. No. of guest stars make the movie even better~ Regardless some bugs in the movie, I think it's quite good~ Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The Director's cut version is WAY BETTER than the theatrical one! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member 0.5: I'm sad to say this falls into the category of strange and idiotic Chinese movies, rather than entertaining, beautiful, interesting, or powerful ones. I've found this to be the case with numerous Chinese, Korean, and Japanese films released in the past decade or so. It's as if some pictures made primarily for an internal audience are simply produced with a different set of rules than films made with export in mind. The tone here is all wrong. The murder scenes seem comic when they're meant to be brutal, the characters are barely developed, the pacing is off, and the story is a bit confusing and leaves the audience caring less about what will happen next and more about when it will finally be over. I truly can't think of anything good to say about the picture. Even the supposedly clever ending is just trash. I was hoping this would be one of those little seen gems I picked up so many of while living in Korea and travelling in Beijing. Better luck next time I guess. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member A big disappoinment. Crappy and confusing plot. Terrible ending. Sammi and Eason got no "chemistry" between them.
