A film that begins with tension as one woman attempts to leave East Germany for the West with her young son and then moves into extreme paranoia territory as she struggles to trust anyone who comes into her new life. The lead actress is superb as a mother struggling to protect her son while at the same time losing her grip on reality due to what she has been subjected to.

It started out as an interesting look back into eastern german humiliation of people, then into eastern "refugees" in the west german "camp" and then it went into paranoia, irrational (in the context) sex ,shifting alliances and then it just ended. Nothing was solved, really. I actually was wondering will this never end. not bad but.....
