Somewhere in Slovakia, there is a small, imaginary town whose episodic adventures, chronicled in this film, reflect the growing turmoil in the world. After being seduced by a local madam (Vilma Cibulkova), a Czech soldier learns the price of her love is more than he bargained for. Vojtech (Ivan Martinka), a shepherd, swallows a snake but can't find anyone who'll believe him. And Sibert (Jan Kraus), a cruel bully, finds that his past misdeeds come back to haunt him in an unexpected way.
