Birithivy Y Larger Than Life: Reign Of The Boybands - 8/10. For me, boyband music is great. Its light, easy to listen to, and just super positive for the most part. I grew up listening to boybands because for me, it had a similar sound in musicality to the tamil music I would hear. This doc serves as an interesting look back at the history of the boyband, chronicling the origins of the concept of a boyband to where it is today. Growing up listening to Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Savage Garden, Westlife, and many others, this was a great watch in terms of learning of how this genre of music seemed to soar and take over. Its more of a doc catered for fans of that music or people that grew up in the generations where boybands were more prominent. But overall, a fun and informative watch!
