A quite breathtakingly inept hodge-podge of vapid spirituality, playground chopsocky and visual effects that take 3D to an entirely new level: Zero-D. Go to Full Review

This empty, misfired epic from M. Night Shyamalan is boring and strengthens the claim that he is the worst director working in mainstream cinema today. Go to Full Review

The Last Airbender is a bad film ... But I don’t think this is an absolutely terrible catastrophe of a film or even a disrespectful adaptation. Go to Full Review

The Last Airbender plays like it should be the work of a low-grade hack with little-to-no experience behind the camera, but instead, it’s by a director who not so long ago was praised as one of today’s finest new storytellers. Go to Full Review

See more Hunter S @RT14189150 Jun 22 As a lifelong fan of the original animated series, I found that live-action adaptation incredibly disappointing. The film fails to capture the spirit of the source material, and the depiction of the bending styles is particularly lackluster and poorly executed. Overall, it feels like a disservice to the world of Avatar. See more America I @RT34958892 Jun 15 Few animated series have captured the hearts of millions quite like Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, making the prospect of a live-action adaptation a monumental event for fans worldwide. In 2010, director M. Night Shyamalan took on this daunting task, bringing us The Last Airbender, an ambitious action-adventure fantasy film based on the animated show's inaugural season. Starring Noah Ringer in his feature film debut as the titular Aang, Dev Patel as Prince Zuko, and Nicola Peltz as Katara, the movie plunged audiences into a world where a young Avatar must master the four elements—air, water, fire, and earth—to restore balance and halt the Fire Nation's relentless conquest. The film's legacy is overwhelmingly defined by its catastrophic critical reception. Infamously, critics universally panned its "incomprehensible plot, terrible acting, and distant, joyless direction," effectively cementing its status as one of the worst films ever made.
