The Last Airbender squanders its popular source material with incomprehensible plotting, horrible acting, and detached joyless direction.

Sukhdev Sandhu Daily Telegraph (UK) A quite breathtakingly inept hodge-podge of vapid spirituality, playground chopsocky and visual effects that take 3D to an entirely new level: Zero-D. Night Shyamalan is boring and strengthens the claim that he is the worst director working in mainstream cinema today. But I don’t think this is an absolutely terrible catastrophe of a film or even a disrespectful adaptation. Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The Last Airbender plays like it should be the work of a low-grade hack with little-to-no experience behind the camera, but instead, it’s by a director who not so long ago was praised as one of today’s finest new storytellers. evilmia e when I first saw the movie it was in 3-d and I loved at as a child.....but as an adult I was wrong about about this movie. I hated it because of the acting, everyone wasn't the same like they were in the cartoon tv series. sokka was serious and not his funny and goofy self, katara was something else. it's like she wasn't even a leader at all....in the movie she was a totally different person. appa was a cgi nightmare. THE FIRE LORD IS ALWAYS HERE EVEN FAULT HE wasn't supposed to be there. Zuko looked like the season two version of himself.....but not in a good way. Aang was not acting like the avatar they didn't even spell his name right. and Azula......showed up at the end of the movie because they cared about making a squeal....so my childhood is now ruined because of this horrifying bootleg movie......im sorry Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Austin R This was by far the most DISAPPOINTING Movie i ever watched! as i really like the Anime shows. this live action SUCKS!!!
