      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Although Queen Latifah's bountiful life-affirming spirit permeates the film, director Wayne Wang is unable to revive this remake with any real flair.

Sakumi R It's a cute movie. Nothing ground-breaking or Oscar-deserving, but that's not the intention of this movie. You'll have a smile on your face more often than not, and some scenes are pretty memorable. Overall, it's a light movie to remind you that life doesn't have to mean working all the time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Miemie C It's feel-good movie that you can't go wrong with! Sometimes you just want to watch a movie about the little guy winning :D Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Kyle M Queen Latifah enjoys herself in the well-meaning endeavor that lost its edge once becoming obviously predictable in a tiresomely cheesy manner. (B-) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review KalniTah Com férias da minha vida a risada é garantida, uma dose perfeita de comida ,comédia e manteiga 🤫 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/24 Full Review Feyre L I loved the message of the movie and it was really funny and heart-warming! The first half of the movie takes a bit to pick up, but the second half where Georgia is staying at the hotel and meeting the bourgeoisie is a whole lot of fun! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Joel H Is Last Holiday a Christmas movie? I'm not convinced it is. It spends more time celebrating New Year's Eve than it does Christmas, and the holidays seem to have very little to do with the plot. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable movie. It's fairly ridiculous in parts, but Queen Latifah plays a likeable character, so I was willing to forgive a few of the eye-rolling moments. So while I still don't quite understand why Last Holiday keeps popping up on lists of the greatest Christmas movies of all time, I didn't mind watching it. And I think there are some lessons to be learned from the overall message. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Keith Phipps AV Club For a film ostensibly about how life means nothing without adventure and unpredictability, Last Holiday all feels as preordained as the film-ending Emeril cameo. Rated: C- Nov 27, 2006 Full Review Trevor Johnston Time Out It's not exactly distinguished, but pleasantly warm-hearted, and the sort of thing you might enjoy on afternoon TV when laid up with the flu.
