Josh Bell Crooked Marquee Attempts to bring more well-rounded development to its victim characters, but only ends up with tedious filler that makes the grim trauma porn even grimmer. Rated: C- Nov 19, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Cheola C I am uncertain how this movie has managed to garner ANY five-star reviews, but rest assure i'm here to set the record straight. Shallow characters, rudimentary script, and a movie pace that trudges at glacial speed. There was no background on the sadistic twin brothers. There was no real sleuthing done by the detectives. The victims acted as if they had no survival skills. Danay's background with her dad and aunt did nothing to shed light on the person she was. It was just fodder. And the ending was horrid- why on earth would the women meet at the place where Danay was kidnapped to sip Jameson and quote Yeats? Also why would they randomly get "infinity" symbol tattoos? The writer took to the dartboard with this one. (As a result- I'd advise against seeing anything produced/written/directed by this husband and wife duo!) This movie was so bad I created a Rotten Tomatoes account so I could leave a meaningful review. 😅😮‍💨 D+ Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/20/24 Full Review Stephen M So, so bad. Clunky dialogue. Terrible acting. Terrible interview scene when the police are investigating the “suspect.” Trivializes the recovery of actual victims of secual assault. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/24 Full Review Teresa W Without giving anything away, this film is definitely mind blowing! There are unexpected twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. The cast was remarkable and the bond between the characters was believable and sometimes heartbreaking. I recommend this film as a must see because of the well written script and plot! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Victoria V I happen to watch a lot of thrillers, as well as true crime. I was absolutely engrossed with this film. I loved that it was intelligent, was realistic, and had great acting. For a film with no well known actors or directors, it was much better than than so many Hollywood movies that always seem pretentious, over produced and stunningly seeming to aim for the lowest common denominator. When I found out that a husband and wife team created this film, I was blown away. The writing, directing, editing were spot on. I can't wait for more from Danny Donnelly and Aimee Theresa. The rest of the cast were terrific as well. Lastly, the normal tropes for a crime thriller as such, were not there, it seemed fresh, although the character roles could've and would've been with many mainstream productions. Brava! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review tm11999 M aimee wrote it and starred in it and did a fine job. a little more fight and edge from the regular rapees would have been ok but i'm assuming this was written by someone who would recognize that females wouldn't fight it so much after awhile. competent story with an unexpected twist at the end, go ahead, you might as well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Kams A Other movies have been made with a similar theme, but this one holds its own. Very simply done, holds viewers interest till the end. What did not work for this movie is the almost casual approach; you may think there was a lack of commitment, the makers did not make an effort to make it stand out.
