Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter What might have emerged as hilarious lunacy in the hands of Woody Allen or Mel Brooks (at least during their '70s heyday) comes across as lame and sophomoric in this debut indie feature. Mar 21, 2002 Full Review Lou Lumenick New York Post Feeble comedy. Rated: 1/4 Feb 15, 2002 Full Review A.O. Scott New York Times Alan and his fellow survivors are idiosyncratic enough to lift the movie above its playwriting 101 premise. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 14, 2002 Full Review Kathi Maio The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction The Last Man is nonetheless an interesting first feature from a filmmaker who shows considerable promise. Chances are, most of you won't get the chance to see this one in theaters...but a video release is also planned. Seek it out. Audience Member If this is a comedy I'd hate to see their idea of a tragedy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was so great. Not because it was well made or anything. The acting was ok and the look wasn't horrible (not top notch or anything), but the story was outstanding. This is about the last man on earth. He takes it well and begins to live the best he can until he meets the last woman on earth. So there it is, a match made in heaven, the only two people on earth who can do whatever they want. Paradise... until they find a second more appealing man. The first man all of a sudden is out of he picture. It's a horribly depressing thought in a comedic movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member What might have emerged as hilarious lunacy in the hands of Woody Allen or Mel Brooks (at least during their '70s heyday) comes across as lame and sophomoric in this debut indie feature. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I wouldn't complain about being the last man on earth with Jeri Ryan. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member decent flick worth a rental. i like the documentary type feel of this one. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member This would suck. You're the last living male on the planet. Jeri Ryan is the last living female. And you still can't score???The shear reality of this movie hurts... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
