Dan Montgomery Jr.
Depite its short run, Dan Montgomery had his breakthrough role in the drama series "Wasteland" (ABC, 1999), a Kevin Williamson-penned look at the second coming-of-age of twentysomethings in New York City. The actor played Russell, a gay soap opera star determined to remain closeted so as to not jeopardize his public status as a sex symbol. Montgomery's characterization of the sympathetic Russell made him one of the more charming and likable figures on the program. The subsequent movie deal granted to the cast of "Wasteland" by Miramax would no doubt make the dark-haired actor's handsome face increasingly familiar to audiences everywhere. Montgomery was previously featured with Karen Black in the independent drama "Red Dirt" (lensed 1998) and had a bit part in 1995's "The Little Death" with Dwight Yoakam and J.T. Walsh.
