(I don't want to present any spoilers, so I will keep this brief.) This movie is tricky, and you are going to have to stick with it to the very end to get the full story. It starts out quickly, then slows down for about 20 minutes or so, then it starts picking up pace. It is well-crafted, and the primary characters (a lawyer, her daughter, and a police office, the lawyer's childhood friend) are extremely likable, which draws you deeper into the story. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the build up to the final confrontation in court seems a little rushed. The director uses some flashbacks to fill in what happened though. Most of the show seems very PG, but there is some pretty extreme violence when you see the murder in a flashback and at another point I won't explain. I don't think it is over done though, and the final act of violence adds to the intensity of the emotions being expressed. All in all. It was a very well-crafted, enjoyable-to-watch movie, and worth seeing in the theater. See more Read all reviews
