Audience Member Gordon Chan's follow up to the surprisingly fun movie The Four picks up right after the events of the first. Emotionless and Coldblood are together, and Ji Yaoshu broods on the sidelines. But when mysterious deaths occur and murders from 12 years ago uncover some nasty secrets, wise sage Zhuge Zhenwo is accused of a terrible crime, and its up to the Divine Constabulary to clear his name and find the truth. Very similar to the first installment, the movie mixes grandiose special effects laden martial arts with just a hint of mystery this time around. Most of the movie is conspiracy plotting by new villains, with a huge martial arts smackdown in a prison escape that recalls Kung Fu Panda. Also thrown in for some good measure is emotional bombs, which will leave the view drained, and The Four changed forever. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Ouch, completely unintelligible story! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member There are some good moments in this movie but not enough to make it worthwhile. The disengaging story does not save this one despite an all star cast. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is visually stunning with its CGI effects and flying martial arts scenes. However, similar to its predecessor, its storyline is a complete mess. One would easily get lost on the numerous characters introduced into the film without proper introduction and build-up. It also doesn't help that they mimic X-men-like powers for most of their characters. I do love its musical score, and the complicated relationships of its characters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member and a sequel is made! : D the originals are back! however, the story is over complicated muddying the pace. as well, the performances are uninspired, often one-note. no room for much action either. HUGE disappointment! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
