After living most of his life in Mali, 11-year-old Moctar (Said Diarra) and his mother move back to his birthplace, Paris. Despite the fact he is reunited with his father, Moctar misses Mali. He starts to see a hyena in the streets of Paris. His parents are concerned, and his classmates mock him incessantly.
