Pregnant and wanting to devote attention to her coming baby, French mother Claire (Christine Pascal) takes her 9-year-old son, Louis (Antoine Hubert), to a farm in Brittany and leaves him with old friend Marcelle (Anémone) and her husband, Pelo (Richard Bohringer). There, Louis is to spend the summer getting acquainted with the country after living in Paris his whole life. It's tough at first, but with the help of neighbor girl Martine (Vanessa Guedj), Louis begins to experience rural bliss.
