Lynne K Nov 28 I just leaned about Leanne Morgan this week when visiting my parents. At first I rolled my eyes because she/the show was described to me as a "Southern belle who just found out her husband is having a baby with another woman" - okay so that’s true BUT I honestly didn’t realize how funny she (and the always hilarious Kristen Johnson) would be. Now I find myself watching her stand-up show from 2023 and cracking up. Who knew? She’s refreshingly honest about women and aging and the funny situations each marriage faces over the years. I highly recommend this special as well as her sitcom. Very fun! Definitely Leanne serves up a kind of brutally clear eyed nostalgia for the 80s rural upbringing she had that I think lots of people would relate to and a lot more people would enjoy, even if they came from the city.
