Jude Dry indieWire Leap! wants to be a grand jeté, but it's stuck in first position. Rated: D+ Aug 31, 2017 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle The well-chosen voice cast helps make this a fairly engaging tale, even though the film is riddled with a wealth of head-scratching anachronistic errors. Rated: 2/5 Aug 31, 2017 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Punch Drunk Critics Leap! follows a pretty simple formula, but the animation during the ballet scenes is lively and well-done. It's spirited enough to keep the film from feeling too familiar. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 28, 2017 Full Review Rolando Gallego EscribiendoCine The movie fails to overcome its classic narrative, although it can be presented as... an ode to progress and self-realization as an ideal to survive. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Sep 13, 2020 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review There is something charming, visually compelling (especially during the dance numbers), and inspiring about Felicie's journey. Emilija D A beautiful and emotional film that tells how we should never give up on our dreams, even when it seems like all hope is lost. She achieved her dream and most important of all, she found a new family. Beautiful! I recommend it to everyone! It should have been nominated for an Oscar. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Jonty H Some good scenes and dancing animation is good, but if you take them out you just end up with a bland set of annoying or boring characters (with the exemption of the director and Odete) a generic villain and a generic, unbelievable plot Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review henry s I love this movie…..NOT!!!!!! My siblings and I decided to watch this film on this lovely monday evening, wanting to rewatch one of our childhood favorites. I am visiting from college, and wanted to take a trip down memory lane, as I am not living at home anymore. We watched an hour of this horrifically scripted movie with insufferable protagonist Felicy, anxiously awaiting our favorite scene: the jump split. Now as we remembered, confident by demi lovato plays during this iconic scene. However, this time around, we were horrified to see that this scene had been disgustingly mutilated, and they chose a different, generic, unexciting, royalty free tune instead. My siblings and I were so upset, we couldn’t even finish the movie. Horrible use of an hour. Do better. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/22/24 Full Review Camryn J One of my favorite movies. It’s about friendship, love and even the people with the least amount of money could have the most amount of. How what’s right infront of you could take someone else’s eyes to see. It has great characters and an amazing story line! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/15/24 Full Review Carter C Most of the time, it’s boring and uninteresting, and some story elements are added randomly just to buy time, but this film still holds on to some action, heartwarming messages, drama, and good voice performances that make animated movies special.
