Aware of a Celtic tradition that allows women to pop the question on Feb. 29, she plans to follow her lover to Dublin and ask him to marry her. Critics Consensus

Amy Adams is as appealing as ever, but her charms aren't enough to keep Leap Year from succumbing to an overabundance of clichés and an unfunny script.

Noel L Nov 29 This movie was The Matchmaker mixed with The Sure Thing. But the quality might've been lacking a bit See more Zoji E Sep 20 I loved it, and am actually so surprised that the rating for it is so low! The main reason being it's "cliché" is so annoying to me. So what? Someone who barely watches romance movies would like it! It was genuinely so funny! It's my third favourite romance movie ever and it has held that spot for years. The actors were great, the location was beautiful, the jokes were funny enough, the banter was entertaining. Geez, just ENJOY something guys- watch it with fresh eyes- try not to compare it to every single movie you've ever watched just to hate it. See more Jonathan E @JonathanE Aug 13 Like the French countryside in Meg Ryan's "French Kiss," "Leap Year" provides wonderful views of the Irish country side. Enjoy the view. See more Ram L Jul 10 As unrealistic as it is delightful, as whimsical as it is genuine, as repetitive as is spontaneous — this movie is as wonderful as is youthful romantic love. See more Magdalena N May 27 So good it inspired me to propose to bf in ireland mever been happisr hehe See more Dick L May 16 In my opinion as an author, I think the plotline was great. Acting superb and funny. I would recommend this to family and friends and would be a great entertaining movie with company at my home. I just completed a script my angel in the crowd, and I would love to have both star in our film. This is a must see. See more Read all reviews
